On June 14, Young Scientists Union "Intellect" conducted joint working meeting with the members of Sakrebulo (Representative Body) and Gamgeoba Services (Executive Body) in the limits of the current project "Increasing Capacity of Local Self-Governments for Long-term Participative Development in Adjara Region" in Keda Municipality. The main aim of the meeting was revealing strengths and weaknesses and evaluating opportunities and threats of the mentioned municipality.
The working meeting was leaded by the chairman of Gamgeoba of "Intellect"; He had a talk about the main aim of the meeting, about the concept, importance and necessity of SWOT Analysis while working out strategic development plan for the municipality.
At the abovementioned meeting the representatives of Gamgeoba and Sakrebulo listed weaknesses and strengths of Keda municipality according to their fields, also they discussed opportunities and threats of municipality development.
This is a short list of the issues discussed at the meeting: life level and material maintenance, communal and cultural level, social security, health care, security, ecology, economic-geographical location, historical and natural potential, population and labor resources, economical and manufacturing potential, agricultural, scientific, educational, trading potential, investments, engineering, transportation and telecommunication infrastructure, municipal property, the basic institutes participating in the social-economic development processes.
As meeting members declare the working meeting was quite productive. The information received at the meeting will be used while working out strategic plan. Also the similar meeting was conducted in Shuakhevi municipality and it is planned in other municipalities of Adjara Region as well.
