The Process of Interviewing People at Municipalities is Completed |

In the limits of the project "Enhancing the Capacities of local self-governments for long-term sustainable development in the region of Adjara" the Young Scientists Union "Intellect" the sociological research of five municipalities of Adjara has completed, which was necessary for working out strategic plans of social and economic development and for having complete information about the existing situation in municipalities. In sociological research 5 150 respondents participated including:

Under the ongoing project Young Scientists Union "Intellect" has chosen "The best Sakrebulo Members" in municipalities of Adjara region (except Keda). The activities of the Sakrebulo members, meeting reports of Sakrebulo, bureaus and commissions, inbox and outgoing mails of Sakrebulo all these served as selection criteria of the Best Sakrebulo Member.

The project "The modern Agricultural Technologies at Mountainous Part of Adjara" is completed which was implemented by The Young Scientists Union "Intellect" from the September of last year.

Training on Electronic System of State Purchases |

The training "Operation of electronic system of state purchases" was
held by Young Scientists Union "Intellect" for the staff members of
self-government purchase department. As it is known some amendments have
been moved to the Georgian Act of State Purchases recently, aiming at
establishment of the entire electronic system of the state purchases,
providing an open, transparent and competitive environment for ones
participating in the process of state purchase.

Visit to "Intellect" |
|
A studying tour has been organized for the activists of the NGO-s Fair Elections, International Society of Democracy and Georgian Young Lawyer Association under the joint project "Public Manifest" being implemented by the same organizations. Among 5 most successful NGO-s of Adjara region hosting the visitors was Young Scientists Union "Intellect". Three activists from each Khulo, Shuakhevi, Keda, Khelvachauri , Kobuleti, Poti, Ozurgeti, Lanchkhuti and Chokhatauri municipalities took part in the studying tour. Trainings for the Sakrebulo members have been held |
Young Scientists Union "Intellect" has carried out trainings for all the members of five municipalities of Adjara region. The subject area of trainings was planned on basis of survey carried out before, covering: "Local budget, On-budget incomes and expenditures" and "Legal basis and principles of Sakrebulo activities".
Two expert-analysts – Temur Tordinava and Micheil Dzagania, have been invited from Caucasian Researching Institute of Economics and Sociology as trainers. As the trainings participants say "the trainings have been held timely and effectively".... |

Under the ongoing project "Increasing Capacity of Local Self-Government for Long-Term Participative Development in Adjara Region", granted by the EU, Young Scientists Union "Intellect" is going to create the informational portals for all the five Municipalities of Adjara Region.
